Our cabinets are made with a mix of solid hardwood and real walnut veneer. The cabinet cases are made using the highest quality FSC certified 15 ply baltic birch core with a thick A-1 grade real wood veneer. This allows us to offer a very stable, high quality cabinet at an affordable price.

This cabinet is gorgeous and expertly crafted. It also holds a TON of albums! The walnut veneer fits right in with my mid-century decor.

I love these cabinets! They are beautiful and well made. I currently have about 580 records in one cabinet with room for about 50 to 60 more. The second cabinet is holding my brothers 400 some records until he moves out, giving me something to aspire to. This configuration isnt the end goal. Ultimately I would love to move the TV and gaming consoles out, but still looking solid! Will send another picture when I have time to get things just so.
They are in high demand, so plan time ahead when ordering, but they were very communicative about the estimated delivery, and the shipper was top notch! Well worth the wait!
My husband was very happy with the cabinets and the delivery. I am looking forward to seeing them in person, likely in May. My son Richard will be setting up his collections in May when he gets home from college. He is very excited to organize and continue decorating his new music space.
We cannot be happier with our purchase of the 2 x 2 record cabinet. It is a beautiful piece of furniture from an amazing independent company. communication, delivery, quality everything was there. We’re so happy we made this fantastic investment. For perspective there are about 250 records in the attached photo and plenty of room for growth.

I bought a custom-made cabinet with a bottom row that has extra clearance to fit my vinyl box sets, as well as to fit a very specific open space I have in my apartment. The Department Home team was super helpful and responsive to make sure all the details, from design to delivery, went smoothly. Be prepared to exercise some patience for custom pieces, but quality craftsmanship shouldn’t be rushed and I’m completely satisfied with the result!
I just wanted to say thank you for making the record shelf for us. It is stunning.

The cabinet arrived right at the time the driver said it would. He was awesome! We got it in the house and unwrapped. There was absolutely no damage. It’s perfect! I bought the bigger cabinet to allow for more room to add to my collection.
We needed a record cabinet to fit a pretty small new space and found Department Home! The cabinet is beautiful; solid construction and made here in Chicago. The folks at Department Home were great about communicating with us on timing of production and scheduling delivery. Delivery and installation were professionally done. We are very happy>

We needed a new solution to consolidate our complete vinyl collection and after a lot of research, decided to order a 3 x 2 cabinet from Department. It took awhile to build and ship but it was worth the wait to have something that holds our collection and looks great in our home.
