Our cabinets are made with a mix of solid hardwood and real walnut veneer. The cabinet cases are made using the highest quality FSC certified 15 ply baltic birch core with a thick A-1 grade real wood veneer. This allows us to offer a very stable, high quality cabinet at an affordable price.

I commissioned a custom design using the 2 x 3 Drawer Cabinet as the starting point, replacing the upper drawers with vertically-extended shelves to hold reel-to-reel tapes and CDs and adding sliding doors across the entire front with inset pulls. Each cabinet holds several hundred records. Given the size of my collection (1200+), I needed three cabinets. The design and production process took a long time, but they're up front about this, so I was prepared going in, and it was well worth the wait. And of course the cabinets aren't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for here! The quality is noticeable; they look luxurious up close, and they're very heavy (even when empty). These ended up being exactly the massive upgrade over the Kallax I had been looking for: real furniture to last for many years to come!
